Why was Ahmed Al-Tantawi, the former Egyptian MP, referred to trial?

The Matareya Misdemeanor Court in Egypt decided to postpone the trial of former parliamentarian Ahmed Al-Tantawi, his campaign manager for the presidential elections, Mohamed Abu Al-Diyar, and 21 campaign members in the “agents” case, after they were accused of printing and circulating electoral process papers, until the session of November 28.

Ahmed Al-Tantawi was referred to criminal trial on charges of circulating papers related to the elections without the permission of the authorities, after he announced that he did not meet the conditions for running in the upcoming presidential elections in Egypt.
