At the age of 25, Aitana Bonmatí became the fourth winner of the Ballon d’Or. During 2023 she won all the titles she competed in, being a figure in each of them, which earned her the highest individual award. This is the review of her achievements during the year:
Key piece in the Spanish World Champion Team
Spain beat England in the final and was crowned in the World Cup Australia and New Zealand 2023. Aitana Bonmatí was one of the most outstanding players of the competition and was recognized with the World Cup Golden Ball.
She was the player with the most goals (3) and the most assists (2) for La Roja during the World Cup, in addition to standing out as the player who had the most attempts in front of goal (20). Added to the World Cup with Spain and the Ballon d’Or won in Australia and New Zealand, Aitana won three other titles with FC Barcelona.
