In 2005, Tim Burton brought his vision of Roald Dahl’s famous story to the big screen, The Chocolate Factory, starring Johnny Depp as the eccentric Willy Wonka. The film enchanted audiences with its colorful sets, original music and fantastic characters. The film will be broadcast again on television this evening on Italia 1 at 9.20pm. A question that arises spontaneously is: what happened to the actors who played the five children who won the golden ticket?

Freddie Highmore (Charlie Bucket)
The protagonist of the film, poor and honest Charlie, grew up and continued to act in several films and TV series. Among his best-known roles is that of Norman Bates in the series Bates Motel, inspired by the film Psycho of Hitchcock, and that of Shaun Murphy in the series The Good Doctor, where he plays a young doctor suffering from autism and savant syndrome.
