In a huge surprise, a young Jordanian named Walid Omar announced his challenge to Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo, the striker of the first team of the Saudi Al-Nasr football club.

Ronaldo, 38 years old, is living his best days with Al-Nasr, in the current sports season 2023-2024; Scoring 14 goals and assisting 7 others, during 13 official matches in various competitions.

In a video clip, Omar sent a message to His Excellency Counselor Turki Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, asking to “race” with the Portuguese legend.

The young Jordanian said: “I would like to challenge Ronaldo, in a 50 or 100 meter race… If I beat him, Al-Nasr Club will (invest in) me as a player.”

Walid Omar expressed his great confidence in his abilities, and his ability to win against Cristiano Ronaldo, and honor Turki Al-Sheikh, and held his head high.

Omar, who is 22 years old, confirmed that he is ready to fulfill any request of Ronaldo, if the latter wins the race.

For his part, Al-Sheikh agreed to “bring together” Ronaldo with the young Jordanian, in one of the events. Saying: “But the race is at Al-Nasr Club.”

It is worth noting that Cristiano Ronaldo joined Al-Nasr Club in January 2023. For two and a half seasons, for a salary of up to 500 million euros.
