Mohamed Lamine Saida, known as Simba La Rue, and Zaccaria Mouhib, known as Baby Gang, were sentenced respectively to 6 years and 4 months and 5 years and 2 months for the attack, in which two people were injured, which occurred on the night between 2 and 3 July 2022 in via di Tocqueville, near Corso Como, Milan nightlife area
The trappers Mohamed Lamine Saida, known as Simba La Rue, and Zaccaria Mouhib, or Baby Gang, were sentenced to 6 years and 4 months and 5 years and 2 months respectively in the Milanese trial with abbreviated rite on the shooting which took place on the night between 2nd and on 3 July 2022 in via di Tocqueville, near Corso Como, the Milanese nightlife area, in which two Senegalese people were injured. This was decided by the seventh criminal section of Milan which also sentenced six other young people from their “crew” to sentences of up to 5 years and 8 months.
The judges (Tremolada-Pucci-Gallina) confirmed, with higher sentences than those requested by the Prosecutor’s Office, the accusatory structure of the investigation coordinated by the prosecutor Francesca Crupi and conducted by the police and carabinieri. All the disputed charges were recognised: from robbery, “the most serious fact” for the judges, to the brawl, serious injuries and carrying a gun, reclassified as possession of an illegal weapon. Also sentenced were Faye Ndiaga, to 5 years and 8 months, the one who physically injured the two in the legs, Eliado Tuci, 4 years and 6 months, Pape Loum, to 4 years and 5 months, Mounir Chakib, known as “Malippa”, the manager of trappers, at 3 years and 8 months. And again 4 years and 2 months for Alassane Faye and Andrea Rusta. For Simba, who was accused of having brought the gun that evening, which was never found, the Prosecutor’s Office had asked for 5 years and 8 months and for Baby Gang 4 years and 8 months. The sentence for the latter, 5 years and 2 months, continuously includes a definitive plea bargain for another gun that was found when he was arrested together with the others in October 2022, on the order of the investigating judge Guido Salvini. None of them are still in prison.
Feud between trappers, Simba La Rue sentenced to 4 years
Intent of “overwhelm”
Baby Gang, 22 years old, has already been sentenced to 4 years and 10 months for first degree robbery, while Simba, 21 years old, has been sentenced to 4 years in the other parallel proceeding on a “feud” between groups of trappers. The prosecutor in the shooting trial had highlighted the group’s intent to “overwhelm”: they did not steal (a purse from the two Senegalese men) because “they need money, as their contracts and fees demonstrate”. The defendants, defended by the lawyers Niccolò Vecchioni and Jacapo Cappetta, compensated the injured, but according to the Prosecutor’s Office “it was a matter of a few hundred euros, nothing compared to their fees”. However, the judges granted general mitigating circumstances for all the defendants, who were present in the courtroom and who left without speaking.

The reaction of the two trappers
“We grew up with injustice. Now we have a laugh”, wrote Baby Gang, in a story on his Instagram profile, also publishing a photo in which he shows the middle finger, after the sentence of the Court of Milan. In a story published by Simba La Rue, sentenced today in the same trial to 6 years and 4 months, we see an image of the San Vittore prison in Milan taken from inside a car. Both trappers have millions of followers on social media.
