A crucial decision in Karim Benzema’s future with Al-Ittihad Club
The Saudi Investment Fund has decided on the “departure” of French striker Karim Benzema from the first football team of the Saudi club Al-Ittihad, in the current winter Mercato (January 2024).
Benzema has sparked controversy at Al-Ittihad Club, during the recent period, after he was absent from the first team’s football training. Amid media confirmations that he was punished by Argentine coach Marcelo Gallardo.
In this context, sports journalist Ben Jacobs announced that the Investment Fund and the Saudi Ministry of Sports officially rejected the departure of the French striker from Al-Ameed Castle.
Ben Jacobs revealed, through his official account on the “X” platform, this evening, Monday, that the Saudis rejected Manchester United’s offer to sign Benzema, in addition to the lack of any opportunity for the London giant, Chelsea, to include the player in the current winter Mercato.
The sports journalist stressed that Saudi Arabia is looking at Benzema, who is 36 years old. However, it is an important part of the country’s great sporting project.
