One of the stars of the Kansas City Chiefs, Travis Kelce caused controversy by “bumping” and apparently swearing at his team’s head coach after being taken off the field during the Super Bowl, the American football league final. According to local sports media, Kelce was reacting to coach Andy Reid’s decision to take him out of the attack after a fumble of the team — a loss of the ball during a play that causes possession to be reversed in favor of the opponent.
“Unacceptable,” wrote one internet user. “Anyone other than Travis Kelce would have been sent to the locker room,” said another.
Kelce is the boyfriend of pop superstar Taylor Swift, who arrived at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas (Nevada), this Sunday, to support him in the match against the San Francisco 49ers.
While she caused a stir in the stadium, fans in various parts of the country, such as Kansas, sang the star’s songs during the “warm-up” for the match.
The pop diva flew back to the United States on Saturday after performing in Tokyo. A closed circuit of images projected at the stadium showed Swift’s arrival in dark clothing and on his shoulder a red jacket, the color of the Chiefs.
