Stremio is now available on Samsung TVs

Stremio, a service that aggregates content from streaming (and includes Torrent series and films), made its application available for TVs Samsung. The app is now available in the application store of each TV with a size of 23.23 megabytes and can be downloaded on models launched from 2019 onwards.

If the app does not perform well, Stremio recommends going to the settings, selecting “Interface”, going to “Theme” and choosing the “Default” option. Another recommendation is to turn off the “Animations” setting.

How to download Stremio

  • Access the Samsung TV app store from the TV menu;
  • Go to the magnifying glass button and type the name of the app;
  • Select install;
  • When opening the application for the first time, you will be asked to log in — which must be done using your cell phone.

Samsung and LG lead the global TV market

  • A Samsung maintained leadership in the global TV market, reaching 30% brand share in the third quarter of 2023. As reported by The Korea Economic Dailythe result represents the 18th consecutive year of leadership by the South Korean manufacturer.
  • The data was released in November by global market research company Omdia.
  • In second place is LG, with a market share of 16.4%. Followed by TCL and Hisense, which gained shares of 10.6% and 9%, respectively.
  • In the premium TV category, with prices above US$2,500 (more than R$12,000), Samsung had a dominant share, obtaining a 62% share, as reported by BusinessKorea.
  • Currently, Samsung’s premium TV lines include Neo QLED and OLED models. Since 2017, Samsung’s QLED televisions, which rely on LCD technology, have had more than 40 million sales.
