An entertaining match against ADO Den Haag ended in 2-2. Thanks to a late goal by Levi Smans, the Venlo team took one point home.
After 15 minutes in which ADO had the upper hand, it was VVV that became really dangerous first. The attacking threat quickly resulted in a great goal from Martijn Berden. The right winger played his opponent out of the sideline, found his way towards goal and managed to open the score with his left. Both teams created chances back and forth, but without success. Halftime score 0-1.
Stronger ADO
ADO came out stronger in the second half. The home team had a lot of the ball and created several chances. The equalizer finally came in the 63rd minute. Henk Veerman is played in via an attack on the right flank. He appears to have committed a foul on Roel Janssen, but the referee allows play to continue. An opportunity that the rush hour does not leave unused.
Ten minutes later the Hagenezen score again. After an unfortunate loss of ball by Venlo residents, ADO managed to release attacker Joel Ideho, who managed to shoot the ball past Jan de Boer.
