“I (played more). A great player today, but in my time he would have been a reserve.”

Arrascaeta (Flamengo)

“Ah, you’re kidding me. The only important thing he has in his career is that Tite said he played in zone 14. I played in all the important zones in Brazil.”

Luís Figo

“Figo played a lot more than me.”

Xavi Hernandez

“It’s a different position, but it was a million times better than me.”

Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United)

“He’s a very good player, a tactical player, but he didn’t play any more than me.”

James Rodríguez (São Paulo)

“For God’s sake. If you compare what James Rodríguez played with me, it’s an insult to Brazilian football.”

Valdivia (formerly Palmeiras)

“I played more than Valdívia, but he was better than me in assisting, in getting the ball to number 9…”

Paulo Henrique Ganso (Fluminense)

“It’s like comparing a Boeing to a plane, old man. I’m a Boeing.”

Alex (Ex-Palmeiras and Cruzeiro)

“Ah, this one played a lot more!”
