Tombense is out of the relegation zone of the Brazilian Series B Championship. After beating Sampaio Corrêa away from home, 2-1, the team led by coach Moacir Júnior left the last four positions in the second division.

With the victory, Tombos’ team reached 37 points and currently occupies 37th place in the Brazilian Series B Championship. The performance is very much in line with the work carried out by Moacir Júnior. After arriving, the team started in Series B and in the last five games they won three times: new village, Chapecoense and Sampaio Corrêa, the last two, away from home.

The coach’s dedication and work has been evident with the thoughts expressed through the interviews given by the coach. Thinking game by game, Moacir has managed to imbue his athletes with the importance of being competitive in this final stretch.

– The conversation is always objective. We took an important step, we had five finals, now we have four left, we cannot let our guard down. And we have to extend the oscillation as much as possible, even, if possible, not oscillate and be competitive at all times, which is what I have been looking for – he stated.

With duels against Chapecoense and Sampaio Corrêa won, Moacir set his sights on the clash against black Bridge to complete the club’s “must” phase in direct confrontations.

– It’s going to be an extremely complicated game. We are aware of this, but for us it is very important, I repeat, not to lower the level and continue competing, if we manage to win, it puts us in a situation of less pressure, but we cannot plan, we have to do it – explained the coach.

In addition to the duel against Ponte Preta, Tombense also faces CRB and Mirassol in the final stretch of the Brazilian Series B Championship.
