Mbappé scores two and provokes Brest fans in PSG’s victory

PSG went to Brest, this Sunday (29/10) for the 10th round of the French Championship. A beautiful goal from Zaire-Emery and another from Mbappé indicated yet another easy victory over an old customer who had lost every match against his rival for over a decade. However, this season’s Brest is not the French sensation by chance. Mounié and Le Douaron tied the game. And the turnaround didn’t happen because of miracles from goalkeeper Donnarumma. But, the PSG shirt is heavy. In the end, a penalty only confirmed by VAR gave Mbappé the opportunity to score his second goal of the game and guarantee the 3-2 victory, and with a celebration that proved the rival fans.

The result brings PSG to 21 points, preventing leaders Nice, with 22, from losing (but you can still see Monaco reach 23 points and take the lead). Brest, in turn, stopped at 15 points, in sixth place. However, you can still lose a position at the end of the round.

PSG takes the lead

The first half was excellent, as Brest, at home, didn’t shy away from looking for the game. PSG, in turn, was effective in quick plays, with Mbappé very involved in the match. At 17, he played for Zaire-Emery. The 17-year-old boy, who is one of the best on the team this season, sent a shot from outside the box and scored a beautiful goal. At 28, in a counterattack, Mbappé received the ball on the left, entered the area and shot. The ball hit the target and deceived goalkeeper Bizot. However, a marking error in a dead ball gave Mounié the chance to reduce the score.

Brest seeks a draw

In the second half, a new error by the Parisian defense in a dead ball resulted in a draw. In the corner kick from the right, all Brest players were marked. Except one, Le Douaron. Free, he didn’t even need to go up to head the ball and make it 2-2 on the scoreboard. PSG tried to attack, but leaving holes in the defense. In a counterattack, Mounie finished for an incredible save from Donnarumma. In the end, Camara shot for another great save by the PSG goalkeeper.

Mbappé decides

At 40, in a PSG attack, Kolo Muani collided with defender Brassier. The referee went to the VAR and gave the penalty that Mbappé took, goalkeeper Bizot made the save, but the remainder went to the Parisian star who sent it into the net. Thus, they secured the hard-fought victory over Brest. But in the celebration he provoked the Brest fans, received yellow and was replaced by Luís Enrique to avoid further problems. Anyway, three more points to the account
