Liverpool overtakes Nottingham Forest and touches the top pack

O Liverpool passed easily Nottingham Forest 3-0, this Sunday (29), for the 10th round of the Premier League, at Anfield. The goals were scored in the first half by Diogo Jota e Darwin Núñez. Salah scored in the second half.

On the visitors’ side, the Brazilian defender Murillo drew attention for getting a beautiful pen in the Egyptian.

With the result, Liverpool reached 3rd place in the Premier League with 23 points. On the other hand, Nottingham Forest occupies 16th place with ten points and is fighting to avoid entering the relegation zone.

Liverpool crushed Nottingham Forest from the start of the first half. Turner made good interventions, but was unable to prevent Diogo Jota opening the scoring, in the 31st minute of the first half. Four minutes later, Darwin Núñez scored the second and practically resolved the confrontation.

On the other side, the visitors barely threatened Alisson’s goal, without even hitting the Brazilian goalkeeper’s goal. In the second half, Jurgen Klopp took advantage of the calm result and started to give space to other names in the squad such as Gakpo and Elliott.

In the final stretch of the match, with a brilliant mistake by goalkeeper Turner, who left the goal and didn’t kill the shot, Salah, from outside the area and with the goal free, touched the ball to score the Reds’ third at Anfield. In stoppage time, Gakpo even had a goal disallowed for offside in stoppage time.
