The death of ator Ricardo Merini, 37 years old, the cause has not yet been revealed. While awaiting more information about what led to the death, the family mourns the untimely loss on social media. In a post on Instagram, an aunt of the artist wrote a message of mourning. “It is with great pain that we say goodbye to this sweet, beautiful, happy boy and everything good in this life. Rest in peace,” said Maria Carmen Merini on her profile on the photo and video platform.
Merini’s body was found, this Saturday, by the Civil Police at the Legal Medical Institute (IML) in São Paulo. The information was confirmed by authorities and friends of the actor. On Saturday, when leaving home to meet a friend, he had to be helped near an overpass by a Samu team. There is no information on whether he fell ill or was attacked. He was last seen on October 21 in Bairro Bela Vista, in the capital of São Paulo.

In a statement, the São Paulo Civil Police stated that the victim’s body was identified by the Ricardo Gaumbletaun Daunt Identification Institute (IIRGD), this Saturday, after forwarding the fingerprints collected by the IML. The family was notified for recognition and investigations are ongoing at the 5th Missing Persons Police Station of the DHPP to clarify the facts.
In the early 2000s, Ricardo began working as a model after participating in a beauty contest. Three months after starting his career in São Paulo, he moved to New York, in the United States. As a model, he participated in the international fashion calendar, did work for important brands and was also an exclusive face of a famous Italian brand.
The model has also starred in several advertising campaigns and editorials for fashion magazines. Despite his success in the field, Merini is also dedicated to working as an actor and has technical-professional training from Escola Célia Helena and has taken acting courses for TV and Cinema with Fernando Leal and Marina Caron.
Despite never having done TV, he has participated in three short films — “Noite na Taversa” (2015), “Asco” (2015) and “O Coração do Príncipe” (2014) — and a play, “Terror e Miséria in the Third Reich” (2012); and a web series, “Halls Sensação que Inspira” (2014).
On Instagram, he has almost 1,500 followers, and posts infrequently. The actor and model’s last post was on October 6th. “Merini is back, bitches!”, he wrote, in English, in the caption of a photo shoot in which he appears in swim trunks.
Discreet, post more about work. And the few publications related to his personal life are tributes to his mother, Roseli, or posts with animals.
