Head of Alibaba Group tells Erdogan on plans to invest $2B in Türkiye

The Chinese giant Alibaba Group Holding Ltd, taking into account Türkiye’s potential for expanding e-commerce, plans to invest $2 billion, president of the company, Michael Evans, told Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Report informs referring to the Turkish media.

He briefed Erdogan on new investments, including the construction of a data center and logistics center in Ankara and an export terminal at Istanbul International Airport.

Evans said the company had invested $1.4 billion in the country through the Trendyol marketplace, noting that Alibaba Group supports the Turkish company’s international development strategy.
