Candidates who have sent their application to Guardia di Finanza Competition 2023 for the recruitment of 1673 Financial Students they will have to take a written pre-selection test which consists of a series of multiple choice questions on general knowledge. With a notice published on the GdF competition portal it was made known that the tests will be held from 8 to 14 November 2023 at the Nuova Fiera di RomaEST entrance, via Alexandre Gustave Eiffel – 00148, Rome.
There will not be a database of questions, but two standard questionnaires have been made available for practice and which will be downloadable in the next paragraphs. Guardia di Finanza Competition 2023, 1673 Financial Students: written test
The written pre-selection test consisting of the administration of a questionnaire consisting of 90 multiple choice questions of which:
- 35 times to ascertain logical-mathematical skills;
- 25 times to ascertain the ortho-grammatical and syntactic knowledge of the Italian language;
- 30 topics on history, civic education and geography (10 for each subject).
The commission will assign each candidate a merit score from 0 to 60, equal to the arithmetic conversion of the test score, rounded to the second decimal place. Each candidate must present himself to take the written pre-selection test equipped with a black ink ballpoint pen.

The candidates of the. pass the written pre-selection test and are admitted to the physical efficiency tests ordinary contingent which are placed in the first:
- 1,760 places in the ranking of Armed Forces volunteers;
- 673 places in the ranking of Italian citizens competing for places in the “Anti-Terrorism and Ready Employment (ATPI)” specialization;
- 280 places in the ranking of Italian citizens competing for places in the “Alpine Rescue Technician (SAGF)” specialization;
- 754 places in the ranking of other Italian citizens;
- 6 places in the ranking of holders of the bilingualism certificate who compete for the places reserved for them in the “Anti-Terrorism and Ready-to-Employment (ATPI)” specialization;
- 15 places in the ranking of holders of the bilingualism certificate who compete for the places reserved for them in the “Alpine Rescue Technician (SAGF)” specialization;
- 28 places in the ranking of holders of the bilingualism certificate who are competing for the places reserved for them in the places reserved for civilians.
For what concern sea contingentthe candidates who ranked first will access the physical efficiency tests:
- 222 places in the ranking of Armed Forces volunteers competing for places for the “Nocchiere” specialization;
- 126 places in the ranking of Armed Forces volunteers competing for places in the “Naval Engine Engineer” specialization;
- 96 places in the ranking of Armed Forces volunteers competing for places in the “System Operator” specialization;
- 96 places in the ranking of other Italian citizens competing for places in the “Nocchiere” specialization;
- 54 places in the ranking of other Italian citizens competing for places in the “Naval Engine Engineer” specialization;
- 42 places in the ranking of other Italian citizens competing for places in the “System Operator” specialization.
Competitors who have achieved the same score as the candidate who ranked last in the last available place within the aforementioned rankings are also admitted. The remaining candidates are excluded from the competition.

As anticipated, the database of test questions will not be provided before the test is carried out. However the administration made it available two test simulations with questions taken from the same database, questions which however will not be administered on the day of the test.
