Even though we separated from him at the end of 1989, we have always remained friends… he sang with the band that played at my wedding with Marlene in 1994, he reunited with i DREAM THEATER for the anniversary show of ‘When Dream And Day Unite‘ in 2004 and opened for the band’s European tour DREAM THEATER with his solo band in 2007 and came to a concert on the tour that I and John Petrucci we did in 2022. I wrote to him just a few weeks ago and he congratulated me on my return to the DREAM THEATER the day of the announcement. She was very happy for us…

The sudden death of Charlie It’s a terrible loss for anyone in the DREAM THEATER family and we offer our most sincere condolences to his family in this moment of great difficulty.
If you haven’t seen it yet, there is a documentary about the 1988/1989 era of DREAM THEATER that I put together for the DVD ‘When Dream And Day Reunite‘. Is titled ‘I Can Remember When…‘ and it’s a tribute to Charlie and his time in the band.”
