The Calabrian showgirl and presenter, originally from Soverato, she lost her grandmother from whom she inherited her name who turned 102 last August. “I would have loved for this day to never come, I hoped and prayed a lot – wrote Flavio Briatore’s ex-wife in a farewell post – Unfortunately today my beloved Grandma Elisabetta left us. My heart is full of sadness and pain… I will miss our chats and her precious advice, her hugs, her smile and the love that she always gave to all the people who were close to her”.

Grandma Elisabetta’s last birthday and mother Melina’s passing
Last August, Elisabetta Gregoraci interrupted her holidays to return to Calabria and celebrate my beloved grandmother’s birthday. “Grandma turns 102 today, a century and more of life and values that only grandparents can give us. She is grateful to be able to experience this milestone alongside her. I love you Nonna Elisabetta,” she wrote at the time. In 2011 Elisabetta Gregoraci lost her mother Melina due to breast cancer against which the woman had fought for 14 years. The parents of the Calabrian showgirl and presenter loved each other for 36 years.
