The Egyptian writer, Angie Alaa, participated in the Red Sea Film Festival held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This is the first time she has stood on the “red carpet” without her husband, the artist Youssef El Sharif.
Angie Alaa traveled to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah rituals, after announcing her separation from Youssef Al-Sharif, and after that she was keen to follow the activities of the Red Sea Film Festival, which concludes its activities on December 9th.
Angie Alaa published her photo on the red carpet of the Red Sea Festival through her personal account on the “Instagram” application and attached it to a comment in which she said: “I was honored to attend part of the activities of the third session of the Red Sea International Film Festival… and I was pleased with the honorable Egyptian and Arab participation… Thank you to those in charge of the festival for their support.” Creativity, art and development of the Arab film industry.”
A few days ago, Angie Alaa officially announced her separation from Youssef El-Sherif, and she said in a joint statement with him: “God destined and whatever He wished, he did… We regret that we, Angie Alaa and Youssef El-Sherif, announce that the official separation between us has occurred.”
The Egyptian duo added: “We affirm the continuation of the relationship of friendship, pride and mutual respect in appreciation of the good ten years that brought us together and our children, the most beautiful blessing that God has bestowed upon us. Your prayers, may God write what is good.”
The Egyptian duo was scheduled to participate in the Ramadan 2024 drama season in their series “The Raccoon,” but the divorce came to threaten the artistic project with incompleteness.
