for Sydney Sweeney, this Euphoria scene was the final straw of her career

Actors often have to do things they don’t like. Sydney Sweeney told during the new episode of Hot Ones who hated filming a scene as the character Cassie Howard in the second season of Euphoriadescribing the recording as “the most disgusting thing he has ever experienced”.

In the fourth episode of the second season, Cassie becomes anxious and desperate about having to hide her relationship with Nate (Jacob Elordi) from her best friend Maddy (Alexa Demie), a boy’s ex-girlfriend. During the frenzy and lots of drinking, Cassie enters the pool and ends up vomiting in front of the guests, representing the moment that the character enters “the bottom of the well” of her story arc.

For Sweeney, however, “vomiting” in the pool was the worst part of acting, as the series’ director and producer, Sam Levinson, wanted something exaggerated. For this, the actress had a tube stuck near her mouth.

“In a lot of movies, they put a cup of whatever they have from the craft team mixed with milk and water and it’s the most disgusting thing, and you just put it in your mouth and you hold it and then you throw up. [O criador da série] Sam [Levinson]Of course, I didn’t want that. He just wanted vomit everywhere, so they had to get a bomb, and they had a pipe that they duct taped and hid on my body, and then they did CGI on my neck. And then there was a horse bit that I had to put in my mouth. During that scene, they’re filling my mouth with vomit, and then I open my mouth and everything starts coming out of my mouth. And it was the most disgusting thing I’ve ever experienced.”

Despite the experience, Sweeney told GQ who loved the experience of putting Cassie on such an exhausting journey.

“I love the madness that Cassie goes through because it’s so fun and exciting to play as an actress. The whole journey until her fall was incredible for me. I really liked it a lot.”

Furthermore, she said that the “vomit”, although disgusting, still had a pleasant taste that she was not expecting.

“To this day I don’t even know what it was. They said, “What flavor would you like it to be?”, and the only one that sounded appealing was ‘minty fresh.’ But when the fresh mint came out of my mouth, I thought, “What the fuck is this fresh mint?! I’m not sure what it was, but it was an experience!”

A third season of Euphoria has already been orderedbut there is still no set date, with only a premiere date scheduled for 2025.
