Away from home, Fluminense was beaten 1-0 by Red Bull Bragantino on Sunday night (22/10), in a game valid for the 28th round of the Brazilian Championship. After going behind with a penalty goal, Tricolor sought a draw until the end, but were unable to reverse the result.

Under the command of coach Fernando Diniz, the team returns to the field next Wednesday (10/25), when they face Goiás, in a match valid for the 29th round of the Brazilian championship. The match will be at the Raulino de Oliveira Stadium, in Volta Redonda, at 7pm.

The match started off competitively, with the first chance of danger appearing in the 7th minute. Keno turned the ball over to Samuel Xavier, who carried it to the edge of the area and shot the ball out wide. At 12, Keno advanced to Diogo Barbosa, who crossed for Cano to finish, but the referee pointed to offside. In the 13th minute, a penalty was awarded to the opponent and Eduardo Sasha converted. In search of an equalizer, André stole the ball in midfield and passed it to Cano, who received it on the wing, cleared the mark and shot, but the ball exploded in the defense.

Tricolor increased the pressure and arrived again in the 30th minute. Arias received it inside the area and passed it to Cano, who turned and shot, but the ball went out. At 36, Keno made a beautiful individual play on the left and left it for Daniel to finish, but the goalkeeper saved it. In the next move, Arias hit a free kick directly into the goal, demanding yet another save from the opponent.

Fluminense had its first chance in the second half after just 3 minutes. Diogo Barbosa went down the left, dribbled past the marker and shot across the crossbar, but the ball skimmed the post. In the 19th minute, Arias intercepted the opponent’s ball and set it up for Cano to finish, but the goalkeeper made the save. In the 33rd minute, Léo Fernandez took a free kick in the area and found Marlon, who headed it wide.

In the 44th minute, Germán Cano received a beautiful shot, advanced and sent it into the back of the net, but the referee ruled it offside. In stoppage time, Martinelli threw it to Léo Fernandez, who received it on the right flank, cleared it and shot, for another save by the goalkeeper. In the last move, Lelê received it on the left wing, cut the marker and finished, but the ball exploded in defense.
