O Flamengo entered the field this Friday afternoon (5), in the 1st round of group 19 of the Copinha. Rubro-Negro faced the São José-RS and despite the difficulties presented by the opposing team, they managed to win the match with a score of 2 x 1. The goals for Mais Querido’s side were scored by Petterson e Werton. On the other hand, the only goal for São José-RS was marked by Daniel.
In the first half, the game was generally quite competitive. O Flamengoas expected, took the initiative and often sought to overcome the defense of the Zeca, which didn’t make it easier for the Rio team. The team of São José-RS It clearly aimed to hold Flamengo defensively and take advantage of the spaces given to generate counter attacks.
With a good defense from the opposing team, Flamengo was unable to present moves from midfield that could pose a danger to the Rio Grande do Sul team. In the final minutes, Flamengo held off the match to not give the opposing team a chance. Thus, the match ended with Flamengo’s 2 x 1 victory over São José-RS. With the victory, the Rio team leads the group.
