Guadeloupe’s struggle with colonial France continues to this day, the President of the Union of Guadeloupe Women, Ketti Lombion, said on the sidelines of the international conference “Decolonization: Empowerment and Development of Women” in Baku, Report informs.
“Our union was founded to ensure the rights of women and children. We also fight against all types of discrimination,” she said.
According to Lombion, the people of Guadeloupe have repeatedly protested against the French government due to discrimination.
