Reggio Emilia, 30 October 2023 – The earth continues to shake Emilia Romagna. After the double shock felt in recent days in the region (but which had the Rovigo area in Veneto as its epicentre), this morning, at 6.25am, it was recorded an earthquake shock of magnitude 3.4 with epicenter a Castellarano, in the province of Reggio Emilia. But the shock was also felt in the neighboring province of Modena. The epicenter had a depth of 9 km. There are no reports of damage to people or things.
A second and third shock (magnitude 2.6 and 2.5 respectively), were also recorded with an epicenter in Castellarano. The second a few minutes after the first, at 6.33 at 28 km depth, while the last at 9.04, with hypocenter at 10 km.
The municipalities closest to the epicenter were: Sassuolo, Fiorano Modenese, Prignano sulla Secchia, Serramazzoni, Maranello in the Modena area and Casalgrande, Baiso and Viano in the Reggio Emilia area.
