After the premiere of “Beckham,” a documentary series that chronicles the life of the world soccer star, public opinion revived the issue of the former soccer player’s alleged infidelity in 2004. That year, The Sun newspaper published an image of Victoria Beckham, the footballer’s wife, crying because he had apparently had an affair with his assistant Rebecca Loos.
During the Netflix series, the couple referred to the issue and assured that it was the most difficult moment they had to experience as a couple. However, at no time did they confirm the infidelity.

“There were some horrible stories that were difficult to deal with. “It was the first time Victoria and I were under that kind of pressure in our marriage,” Beckham said in the documentary. For her part, Victoria assured that the scandal made her at that moment “the unhappiest she has ever been in her entire life.”
What did Beckham’s former assistant say?
Twenty years after the scandal, Rebecca Loos said on the television program “Good Morning Britain” that although she had decided to leave that episode in the past, she had to come out and tell her side of the story. “I tried to let it go and move on with my life as hard as I could, but I was really bothered by the angle in which he interpreted the narrative, how misleading it is and how “It’s making me see myself as the bad person.”
“Of course I’m guilty too, it takes two to tango. “Not everything is his fault, but it’s both of us,” he said during the interview. Furthermore, he assured that the footballer has never denied infidelity. “He has never denied it. He has said that my claims are ridiculous. Ridiculous is not false, ridiculous can be the truth. “The ridiculous is a term used by lawyers for when their clients do not want to admit the truth,” he assured.

“Over the last few months I have become accustomed to reading increasingly ridiculous stories about my private life. The simple truth is that I am very happily married. I have a wonderful wife and two very special children. There is nothing a third party can do to change that,” David Beckham said in 2004, after the newspaper published the alleged infidelity.
Now, Rebecca Loos responds to those claims saying: “I think there are a lot of men who are happily married and also having affairs.”
