O Santos is classified for the next phase of São Paulo Junior Football Cup 2024. This Sunday (7), in the second round of group 26 of the tournament, Peixe beat New Venecia 7-0, at the Inamar District Stadium, in Diadema.
Os Meninos da Vila opened the scoring in the 37th minute of the first half. Felipe Laurindo took advantage of the space on the right and crossed to Enzo Monteiro, who rose between the defenders and headed it with precision.
In the complementary stage, it was another Bolivian’s turn to shine. At six, Miguelito got the rebound after Bontempo’s shot against the crossbar and tried it towards the back of the goal to expand. The midfielder redeemed himself after missing a penalty in the first game.
With the clock showing 12 minutes, another came out. Felipe Laurindo connected with Miguelito and crossed low to Hyan, who only had to complete the goal. Moments later, the striker scored another, now taking advantage of the opponent’s goalkeeper’s mistake, who dropped the ball at the Santos player’s feet.
At 24, Miguelito once again left his mark. The midfielder was called into the area and finished low to secure the goal. Three minutes later, Diego Borges took advantage of a corner kick and scored the sixth. Ten minutes later, Souza took a long shot and closed the account.
With the result, Santos jumped to the top of the group, with the same six points as Holy Waterwho won the Remo 3-0 and are in second. Both Peixe and Neptune are already classified for the second phase.
Alvinegro Praiano ends the group stage against the team from Diadema. The clash is scheduled for Wednesday, at 9:45 pm (Brasília time).
