ADO Den Haag took full advantage of the loss of points by its competitors on Monday evening in the Kitchen Champion Division. Leader Roda JC and number two Willem II lost points. SC Cambuur provided TOP Oss with an evening to quickly forget.
For a long time it seemed like the entire top was dropping three points, until ADO Den Haag struck Jong PSV in the 94th minute. Malik Sellouki scored the 1-2 after a scrimmage. It was only in the 81st minute that ADO equalized through substitute Sacha Komljenovic.
Thanks to the comeback at Jong PSV, ADO Den Haag’s beautiful undefeated series is maintained. The team of coach Darije Kalezic last lost on August 18 (0-3 against Roda JC). Moreover, with a win, ADO takes full advantage of the loss of points of its competitors.
Leader Roda JC and Willem II had no comeback in mind. Roda JC came back from a 1-0 deficit after a penalty from Mawouna Amevor at FC Eindhoven, but was stuck at a draw.
Willem II lost 0-1 to Jong Ajax. At De Toekomst, Stanis Idumbo-Muzambo became the match winner on behalf of Jong Ajax, which left the last place thanks to the victory. Willem II remains second, but sees ADO reach the same number of points (26). Roda JC has one point more.
Biggest home defeat ever for TOP Oss
SC Cambuur had a carefree evening. Coach Henk de Jong’s team had no children at TOP Oss after a red card for Amine Rehmi in the first half. The game ended 1-8, with the goal production being provided by eight different players.
It meant the biggest home defeat ever for TOP Oss. Buitenhuis has lost twice before with similar figures. SC Cambuur already won 8-1 against the club in the 2009/2010 season. Jong Ajax also defeated the Brabanders 7-0 in the 2016/2017 season.
To make matters worse, TOP Oss drops to the last place in the Kitchen Champion Division due to the surprising victory of Jong Ajax. At the top, FC Emmen retained a point from the match with MVV Maastricht (1-1). The team of coach Fred Grim is in fourth place.
